Echoes of Liberation: Advancing Human Rights Through Heritage and Nelson Mandela’s Legacy Sites

Explore how historical sites continue to shape human rights advocacy today.

Join the National Heritage Council for a dialogue as they explore how South Africa’s human rights history connects to today’s challenges and opportunities, using heritage as a way to encourage reflection, foster dialogue, and drive action.

The dialogue will serve as a platform to honour Nelson Mandela’s incredible legacy, exploring how South Africa’s liberation heritage continues to shape our efforts to advance human rights, both locally and globally. Constitution Hill, recently recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, provides the perfect setting for this critical conversation as it represents our nation’s journey from oppression to justice.
